Thanks, Jan, for the post on my Musings blog about Derry. He's been in the box twice now in the past 10 minutes, but not peeing, yet I know he has a full bladder. I asked the vet at least 3 times if I should be concerned about a blockage at this time and he repeatedly said no, not with the few crystal fragments that Derry had. But I don't get why he won't pee...He's been drinking water all afternoon and the pain meds (which will wear off in the wee hours of the morning), should be making him relaxed enough to go.
If the vet is wrong and I have to rush Derry in tomorrow AM, or worse yet to the emerg vet tonight, I'm going to totally flip out.
